Description
Gary Sanford Paxton is an album by the American singer, songwriter, and producer Gary S. Paxton, released on NewPax Records in 1979, distributed by Word. The album was recorded The Waxworks Studios Corp. and Sound Stage Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; and at Pinebrook Studios in Alexandria, Indiana; with Gary S. Paxton producing and arranging. Mixed by Warren Peterson and Paxton. This LP especially dedicated to all the physically and mentally handicapped (especially to all war veterans), and all my American Indian Brothers we should be helping.
Featuring The Pax Superpickers: Hargus “Pig” Robbins on keyboards; Pete Bordonali, Harold Bradley, Reggie Young, and Dann Huff on guitars; Steve Schaffer, Curtis Young, and Henry Strzelecki on bass; Kenny Malone on drums; and Farrell Morris on percussion; with Gary S. Paxton sitting in on dobro.
All horn solos provided by Dennis Solee. Vocals by Candy Hemphill on “Ain’t Gonna Sing No Rock And Roll Song Tonight”. Background vocals on “Just A Closer Walk With Thee” and “What A Friend We Have In Jesus” provided by The Jordanaires.
