CHRIS CHRISTIAN – Chance – Myrrh MSB-6600 – Producers: Chris Christian & Brown Bannister – List: 6.98
You’ve heard his songs sung by Pat Boone, The Imperials and others. He is one of the best producers in gospel music. He is also one fine singer. Gospel music has been inundated with self-styled singer/songwriters whose singing and writing lack depth and conviction. It’s unusual to find an artist who can spread himself thin and still serve up a feast. If Bill Gaither were starting his career today, his songs would probably bear a lot of similarity to Christian’s and vice versa. “Now I See The Man,” “Satisfaction Guaranteed,” and “Sail On” are super cuts. There’s not a “Chance” this album will go unnoticed. [CashBox Magazine, May 27, 1978, Gospel Review Section]
