By My Spirit: A Musical Gathering of Praise

By My Spirit, sub-titled A Musical Gathering of Praise, is a multi-artist compilation featuring music by nine artists signed to Word Records, released on Myrrh Records in 1984, a division of Word.

The compilation includes an early version of Leslie Phillips’ “By My Spirit” produced by Gary Whitlock (a track that also was released as a 7-inch vinyl single by Myrrh), a song which was later completely re-recorded for her solo album Dancing With Danger released on Myrrh Records in the Autumn of 1984.
