Description
Daybreak is a musical written by the British singer and songwriter Paul Field of Nutshell fame, released on Dayspring Records in 1983, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Andy Geirus at TMC Studios in London, England; with Paul Field producing. Arranged by Paul Field and Dave Cooke of Dave & Judy fame. All songs written by Paul Field.
Featuring lead vocals by Mark Williamson of Mark Williamson Band, John Daniels, Julie Moon (a former member of Oasis, and future member of Trade Secret), Edwina Laurie, as well as Paul Field.
The musical was actually written and performed for the first time Easter 1975 at Paul Field’s local church in South-London. One of the songs – “Walking into the Wind” – was actually recorded and released by Field’s trio Nutshell on their 1977-album Flyaway.
