Description
The Victor is a musical by the American husband and wife songwriting team Jimmy & Carol Owens, released on Live Oak Records in 1984, manufactured and distributed by Word. The album was recorded by Dan Collins, Buck Herring, Jack Joseph Puig, Wally Duguid, and Win Kutz at Mama Jo’s Recording Studio and Bill Schnee Studios in North Hollywood and Poiema Studios in Camarillo, California; and at Easter Song Studios in Garden Valley, Texas (and as well at EMI Studios in Hong Kong); with Collins producing.
Featuring a session band consisting of Clark Gassman on keyboards and synthesizer, Phil Kristianson on keyboards, Dean Parks on guitar, Abraham Laboriel on bass, and Keith Edwards and Paul Leim on drums. Lead vocals provided by the 2nd Chapter of Acts, Annie Herring, Matthew Ward, Buddy Owens, Jamie Owens-Collins, Jerry Williams of Harvest, and Scott Wesley Brown.
