Lighten Our Darkness is the third solo album by the British keyboardist and songwriter Chris Rolinson of Heartbeat fame (credited Chris Rolinson & Friends), released in the UK on Songs Of Fellowship in 1987. The album was recorded and mixed by Neil Costello at ICC Studios in Eastbourne, England; with Les Moir producing. Arranged by Chris Rolinson.

Featuring Chris Rolinson on piano and keyboards, backed by Neil Costello on classical guitar and electric guitar, producer Les Moir on bass, and Dave Engel on drums and percussion. Vocals by Julie Moon (of Oasis and Trade Secret fame), Nanette Welmans, Mal Pope, and Chris Rolinson.

An album of songs based on Church of England canticles and prayers from the Alternative Service Book 1980. A meditative and reflective collection of songs, some of which are still sung around the world today. Recorded at ICC Studios in Eastbourne with a group of friends including singer/songwriter Chris Eaton, BBC presenter Mal Pope, and others. [Chris Rolinson]
