Francis of Assisi was a simple man called to follow Jesus Christ in a way that would shake the whole world with the gentle power of God’s love. He chose to share in the poverty of Christ in order to bring mankind to the wealth of the kingdom of God. So Francis took upon himself the role of troubadour, one who proclaims the greatness of the Lord, and so lifted the hearts of many to God.

John Michael Talbot has taken the favorite scriptures and prayers of Francis and made music of them, preserving that same gentle spirit of honor and praise to the Lord Jesus Christ which inspired Francis of Assisi. [Note printed on the back of the LP sleeve]
