10 Years After

Description

10 Years After is a double disc compilation album by the Swedish hard rock band Jerusalem, released on Refuge Records in 1988, distributed by Spectra Distribution in the US. Simultaneously released as a double-cassette, double-LP, as well as a single CD (including only 16 of the 20 tracks featured on the cassette and vinyl editions). The cassette and vinyl editions feature one previously unreleased song, “Covered By Blood”. The remaining tracks are culled from every album released by Jerusalem during 1978-1988 (Volume I – The Early Years features tracks from Volume 1, Volume 2, and Warrior, while Volume II – The Latter Years features tracks from Can’t Stop Us Now, In His Majesty’s Service, and Dancing On The Head Of The Serpent), as well as three tracks (“Practice What You Preach”, “Reach For The Stars”, and “Like A Thief In The Night”) from lead singer Ulf Christiansson’s solo debut album, In My Dreams.

Here’s a two-record set of songs from Jerusalem’s past. There’s at least two songs picked from each of the following albums: ‘Volume 1’, ‘Volume 2’, ‘Warrior’, ‘Can’t Stop Us Now’, ‘In His Majesty’s Service’, ‘Dancing On the Head of the Serpent’, plus a brand new cut, called «Covered By Blood», which was never released in the States.

Vintage photographs dating back to the inception of the band make this collector’s item even more attractive for fans.

It’s nice to have these songs digitally re-mastered for compact disc, especially the fine ballad, «The Wind is Blowing», with it’s gentle yet heavy keyboard lines.
