Description
Taylor covers Roe is a three-track EP by the American singer and songwriter Chris Taylor of Love Coma fame, independently released in February 2021. The songs were recorded during 2020 at The Creative Space in San Antonio, Texas. Featuring Chris Taylor on vocals, guitars, percussion, keyboards, and harmonica; backed by Justin Schneider on bass and Chris Dodds on cymbals and percussion.
Michael Roe has been a musical hero of mine since I was a teenager. He is the front man for a band called the 77’s as well as a part of many other musical projects like Kerosene Halo & The Lost Dogs to name a few. He produced my band Love Coma’s second album, Language of Fools and we’ve toured together on a number of occasions.
Michael and I are cut from completely different musical backgrounds and in order for me to even begin to “cover” his songs, I had to re-interpret them through my own musical lens and capabilities. I hope you enjoy this and maybe see Mike’s songs in a completely different light. – Chris Taylor
