The Map Project (Part 2)

Description

The Map Project (Part 2) is a seven-track CD-EP by the British singer and songwriter Joanne Hogg, lead singer of the progressive rock/Celtic fusion band Iona, independently released in September 2022.

It really has been quite a journey creating these songs.

It has taken me deeper into the gospels than I’d ever been before and has intensified my passion for their message and my desire to share it.

Conceptually The MAP Project is for any of us who can identify with the feeling of “lostness”.

Creating this project has reorientated and redirected me in ways I wouldn’t have contemplated two years ago and I’ve found that even my most spiritually cynical acquaintances have responded to these songs in an enquiring and receptive way!

I hope you’ll enjoy them and want to share them.

I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to the dear friends and family members who have contributed to the creation of this “Miracles and Parables” project, and have encouraged me towards its completion.

Also, to the teachers and lovers of holy scripture who have helped me better understand the gospel narratives that inspired these songs, and how a first century Jewish man named Jesus, in his words and actions, fulfilled al the messianic prophecies of the Old Testament.

He was and is THE “God-man” Christ the Messiah, THE only way that is truth and life.
