I knew that this was an Australian alt rock band, but unfortunately had to Google the city in the address just to know where it was in the country. Sorry to everyone from Australia for my lack of knowledge of your country! Anyways, this is really power pop leaning 80s Australian alt rock, which differentiates it from all the bands that heavily influenced by Midnight Oil and INXS. For some reason, I want to say “The Alarm mixed with power pop,” but I am not sure why. Discogs says “new wave” and “pub rock,” and I can see those influences there as well. Discogs also says there was a vinyl issue of this as well, which probably fits the sound here better. This tape was followed by Sometimes We Scream in 1990. [Christian Tape Underground, August 2020]
