Description
World of Wonders is the fourteenth studio album by the Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist Bruce Cockburn, released on True North Records in 1986, manufactured and distributed by CBS Records Canada Ltd. Released in the US by MCA Records. The album was recorded October-November 1985 by John Naslen assisted by Mark Baldi at Manta Sound in Toronto, Canada; with Jon Goldsmith and Kerry Crawford producing for True North Productions. All songs written by Bruce Cockburn.
Featuring Bruce Cockburn on vocals and guitars (as well as Charango) backed by a session band consisting of producer Jon Goldsmith on keyboards, Michael Alan White on violin, Fergus Jemison Marsh on bass and Chapman Stick, Michael Sloski on drums, and Chi Sharpe on percussion. Shawn Jackson is sitting in on trumpet, flugelhorn, and conch. Background vocals provided by Judy Cade (as well as Colina Phillips, Kerry Crawford, Sharon Lee Williams, and Shawne Jackson on tracks B2 and B4).
