Description
Dangerous Acquaintances is an album by the Canadian born singer and songwriter Barry Crompton, released in the UK on the British label Vigilante Records in 1996. (Re-issued in the US by Vigilante Records LA in 2004, remixed, remastered, and repackaged, featuring three bonus tracks not on the original UK release.) The album was recorded at NotaClusoe Studio in Lancs, England; with Norman Barratt producing for Universal Productions. All songs written by Barry Crompton.
Featuring Barry Crompton on lead and background vocals, guitar, and harmonica, backed by a session band consisting of producer Norman Barratt on rhythm and lead guitar, as well as background vocals;
Duck Duckingworth on bass; and Max Shine on drums and percussion. Background vocals provided by Annette Stevens.
Barry Crompton’s trademark thoughtful lyrics and well crafted melodies are augmented here by some world class musicians, including former members of Van Morrison‘s band and British guitar virtuoso Norman Barratt.
