Description

My Tribute is a gospel album by the Swedish singer Carola Häggkvist, released on the Swedish label Rival in 1993, a Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG) Company. The album was recorded by Åke Grahn at KMH Studios in Stockholm, Sweden; with Tore W. Aas of Oslo Gospel Choir fame producing. Backing vocals recorded by Bernt Austad at Musikk-Loftet in Oslo, Norway, with Joybells Gospel Choir recorded by Jonas Kuling at Kuling Studio in Örebro, Sweden. Mixed by Åke Grahn assisted by Lennart Sjöholm at KMH Studios. Arranged by Lennart Sjöholm (tracks 1, 3, 5, 10, and 12), Magnus Spångberg (tracks 7 and 11), and Tore W. Aas (tracks 2, 4, 6, 8, and 9).

Carola Häggkvist is backed by a session band featuring Peter Sandwall on acoustic piano, Peter Ljung on keyboards, Håkan Mjörnheim (tracks: 1, 7 to 9) and Lasse Wellander (tracks: 2 to 6, 12) on guitar with Tobbe Stener providing solo guitar (tracks: 6, 9 to 11), Sam Bengtsson on bass, and Klas Anderhell (tracks: 1, 7 to 11) and Per Lindvall (tracks: 2 to 6, 12) on drums and percussion. As well featuring Johan Stengård on saxophone, Hans Dyvik and Leif Lindvall on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Urban Wiborg on trombone. Backing vocals provided by Elin Skjennum Løken, Elisabeth Moberg, Kristine Pettersen, Marian Lisland, Sigvart Dagsland, and Frank Ådahl. Joybells Gospel Choir is featured on tracks 1, 7, and 11.
