Description
The self-titled, sole full-length album by the Swedish rock band Bengalen was released on Stanley & Andrew Music in 1981. The album was recorded during spring of 1981 by Lasse Westman at Polyvox Studios in Stockholm, Sweden; and was produced and arranged by Westman in co-operation with the band.
The band features Tomas Skult on keyboards, Bengan Ahlström on guitar, Stefan Storrank on bass, and Mick Nordström on drums (who would later join bands like Modest Attraction, XT, and Jerusalem).

Note: Simultaneously released on cassette and 12-inch vinyl LP by Stanley & Andrew Music. In 1980 the band released a two-sided 7-inch single on Tren Music featuring “Vi är kristna” as the A-side and the album track “Åke Svensson” (though not the same recording as featured on the LP) on the flip-side. And in 1982 the band self-released a two-sided 7-inch single featuring “Löften” as the A-side and the album track “Läron Lurk” on the flip-side.

Musicians: Bengt Bengan Ahlström (Guitar, Vocals), Tomas Skult (Keyboards), Stefan Storrank (Bass), Mikael Micke Nordström (Drums), Eje Gunnarsson(Bass), Mikael Holgersson (Drums). Storrank and Nordström had to join the army in the middle of the recording sessions and were replaced by Gunnarsson and Holgersson.
