Roots is the debut album by the Swedish pop duo Ådahl (brothers Frank and Simon Ådahl of Edin-Ådahl fame), self-released on their own label Samsound in 2003. The album was produced by Ådahl (except track 5 co-produced with Christian Lindberg). All songs written by Frank and Simon Ådahl.
This record has quite a pedigree. Swedish band Edin Adhal were their country’s best known export to the CCM world during the ‘80s. They won the Swedish entry for Eurovision Song Contest in 1990. They toured with Petra in 1992, but later split up. Now they are back as simply Adahl and ‘Roots’ is the new album, with the single «Don’t Worry» out in Scandinavia. Adahl offer smooth groove-led pop with tight harmonies and beautiful production. This is real good quality pop. [Daniel Hames, Cross Rhythms, November 2003]
