Worship You is an album by the Norwegian singer and songwriter Solveig Leithaug, self-released in 2006, marketed and distributed by Authentic Media. The album was produced by Tore W. Aas of Oslo Gospel Choir fame.

Solveig Leithaug Henderson has been a mainstay in the American and Scandinavian Christian music scenes for over 20 years now. In her varied career, she has won Dove Awards, worked with the likes of Wayne Watson, Larry Norman and Bill and Gloria Gaither and her latest English language release sees her at the top of her game on all levels. All songs on ‘Worship You’ were written by Solveig (with a couple of contributions from her husband Ken and family friend Mario Woodruff) and the consistency and quality of the material on offer here is testimony to her many years of experience as a songwriter. The press release that came with this album likened her style to that of Norah Jones and songs such as «All The Way To Heaven» and the title track certainly confirm this similarity – mainly due to Solveig’s tender vocal delivery and the Jones-like piano of Torjus Vierli. However, the remainder of the album puts paid to this comparison and points to the fact that Solveig’s style is very much her own. Solveig’s lyrics are deeply rooted in Scripture and she covers a variety of themes including worship, compassion and refuge. Whilst always easy going, her musical style ranges from the country of «At All Times» to the hymnlike «Holy Holy» and this, together with Tore W Aas’ crisp and expert production, keeps proceedings fresh. Perhaps the most moving track on ‘Worship You’ is «Everything Has Its Season» – a song which Solveig neglected to record for many years until her late manager Joy Thomason persuaded her to record it shortly before she passed away. This song of reverence to God delivered in Solveig’s trademark gentle and understated style sums up a beautiful album of personal worship. [Lins Honeyman, Cross Rhythms, February 2007]
