Description

Lys i et vindu is the sophomore album by the Norwegian singer and songwriter Solveig Leithaug, released on the Norwegian gospel label God Musikk in 1988, distributed by Master Music. (An English version of the album, entitled First Step, was released in the US on DaySpring Records the same year, a division of Word.) The album was recorded by Paul Mills at Omnisound Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, and at Rivendell Sound Recorders in Pasadena, Texas, USA; and as well recorded by Robert Opsahl-Engen at Studio Nova in Spydeberg, Norway; with Wayne Watson, Paul Mills, Martin Alfsen, and Robert Opsahl-Engen producing. All songs written by Solveig Leithaug except tracks A4 co-written with Claire Cloninger and Tommy Greer; A5 co-written with David Hill; B4 co-written with Chris Eaton; and B5 co-written with Greer, Karen Henley, and Niles Borop.

Featuring Solveig Leithaug on vocals and acoustic guitar, backed by a session band featuring Phil Naish and Paul Mills on keyboards (with the latter also providing programming), Jerry McPherson on guitar, Gary Lunn on bass, and Keith Edwards on drums. Background vocals provided by Sigvart Dagsland, Håkon Iversen, Frank Ådahl, Susan Roe Hill, Rick Crawford, and Wayne Watson.
