Bilder Aus Mittelerde is the sole album by the German progressive rock band Yavanna (a.k.a. Eden), released on Lord Records in 1984. It is a work based on the J.R.R. Tolkien works the “Lord of the Rings” and the “Silmarillion”.
German group Eden renamed themselves Yavanna for yet another fine release: the Tolkien-inspired Bilder Aus Mittelerde (“Picture Of Middle Earth”). Still very much rooted in ‘70s progressive with melodic classical influences and this time a touch of jazz fusion and new age music. See Eden for the full low-down on their sound.
