8 O’Clock News is the fourth album by the German progressive rock band Maranatha, released on Lord Records in 1980. The album was recorded by Peter MacTaggart and Eric Merz at Sinus Studio in Bern, Switzerland; with Mike Weller producing and arranging. Mixed by Peter MacTaggart at Sinus Studio.
Featuring Peter Bleiler on vocals, Werner Schrötel on keyboards, Gerhard Zimmer on guitar, Joachim Friedrichsdorf on bass, and Martin Friedrichsdorf and Ringo Funk on drums; with producer Mike Weller providing acoustic and electric piano and synthesizer. Background vocals provided by Heike Tittmann and Mike Weller.
