Description
The LA Sessions is a four-track solo EP by the American singer and songwriter Lauren Passarelli of Two Tru fame, self-released in 2015 (though originally recorded back in 1987). The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Mark Heard at his own studio Fingerprint in Los Angeles, California. All songs by Lauren Passarelli except “Working Blue” and “Broken Glass” featuring lyrics by Stefanie Mis. (These four tracks were recorded around the same time as Mark Heard recorded his electronic tour de force album Tribal Opera as the one-man project iDEoLA.)
Featuring Lauren Passarelli on guitar and vocals with producer Mark Heard providing keyboards, bass, digital drums, and percussion. (Mark Heard did also produce one track by Two Tru, a duo consisting of Passarelli and Cindy Brown, featured on the multi-artist sampler album, Twelve New Faces, released on Myrrh Records in 1989.)
This creative EP was engineered and produced by Mark Heard in 1987. A session that took place in his home while tracks were recorded in the truck (control room) in his back yard. Fabulous guitar work and heartfelt vocals from Lauren Passarelli. Contains two collaborative songs with lyricist, Stefanie Badach Mis. Big drums with synth arrangements versions of these Passarelli songs.
