Description
Invisible Warfare is the solo debut album by the British singer and songwriter Alwyn Wall of Malcolm & Alwyn fame, released on Chapel Lane in 1981 (A Chapel Lane/Solid Rock Production), distributed by Kingsway Music. (Chapel Lane was a newly established independent British label releasing superlative – and mostly cutting edge – albums by Christian artists, Invisible Warfare being their ninth release, Catalog Number CLS 8009.) As well released by StarSong Records in the US the following year (in co-operation with Larry Norman‘s Solid Rock Records, distributed by The Benson Company), featuring new cover artwork. The album was recorded by Mark Williamson, Tim Jacquette, and Larry Norman at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford, England; with Larry Norman producing and arranging. All songs written by Alwyn Wall except track A3 co-written with Norman Barratt, and track B5 written by Monroe Thompson.
Featuring Alwyn Wall on lead vocals and guitar backed by the Barratt Band – Dave Morris on keyboards, Norman Barratt on guitar (who actually had been a part of The Alwyn Wall Band in the late 70s), Tim Hatwell on bass, and Russell Caldwell on drums. Backing vocals provided by Mark Williamson and Larry Norman.
