Bamboo in Winter: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack is a soundtrack composed by the American singer, songwriter, keyboardist, and arranger Tom Howard, released on Myrrh Records in 1991, a division of Word. The album was written, arranged, produced, and performed by Tom Howard. Programmed, engineered, and mixed by Eric Persing. Recorded at Tinas Place Studio in North Hollywood, California.

Film soundtrack albums have little chance of connecting with the listener away from the silver screen. This one does better than most and at times almost makes it as ambient music. Tom Howard weaves the strains of «Amazing Grace» through his theme. Some of the music has oriental undercurrents, not surprising as ‘Bamboo In Winter’ tells the story of underground Christianity in contemporary China. [Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms, December 1991]
