Take Time to Listen is a multi-artist compilation released on 5 Minute Walk Records in 1996, distributed in the US by Diamante Music Group.

It is the first of five compilations in the Take Time to Listen series, the others being Take Time to Listen, Vol. II: 5 Minute Walk Fall Sampler ’96 (1996); Take Time to Listen, Vol. III. Summer Sampler ’97: Music for Meals (1997); Take Time to Listen, Volume 4 (1998); and Take Time to Listen, Volume 5.0 (2000).
