Description
Make Way for the Cross, sub-titled Let the Flame Burn Brighter, is a praise & worship album by the British singer and songwriter Graham Kendrick, released on Make Way Music in September 1989, manufactured by Kingsway Music. (Part of the Make Way Series.) The album was recorded in both the US and the UK: at Duckworth Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; and at ICC Studios in Eastbourne, England; with Bret Teegarden and Les Moir producing. (Except the album’s sole single, “Let the Flame Burn Brighter”, which was recorded and mixed by Mike Jarratt at Abbey Road Studios in London and The Music Factory in St. Albans, England; with Alan Shacklock producing.)
Graham Kendrick is backed by a session band featuring Joe Hogue on keyboards; Mark Baldwin on classical, acoustic, and electric guitars; Gary Lunn on bass; and Eric Darken on percussion (with drum programming by Gary Lunn and Joe Hogue). Also featuring Mark Douthit on saxophone, Mike Haynes on trumpet, and Barry Green on trombone. Background vocals provided by Lisa Glasgow, Marsha Wells, Michael Eldred, Joe Hogue, and Marabeth Salveson.
