Description
Right from the Start is the debut album by the American singer, songwriter, and blues guitarist Will McFarlane, released on Refuge Records in 1982, distributed by The Benson Company. The album was recorded Spring 1982 at East Avalon Recorders in Muscle Shoals, Alabama; with J. L. Wallace and Will McFarlane producing. All songs written by Will McFarlane except track B4 co-written with Wayne Perkins.
Trivia: Will McFarlane spent six years playing guitar with Bonnie Raitt, from 1974 to 1980. In 1980 McFarlane left Raitt to move to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to become a part of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. Soon after relocating to Muscle Shoals, he had a spiritual awakening. Will became a Christian, but continued to make his living playing secular music at Muscle Shoals Sound, as well as traveling in ministry.
