Description

Here With Me – b/w “Burn On” – is a two-sided 7-inch vinyl single by the British singer Sheila Walsh, released on Chapel Lane Productions in 1980 (catalogue number WS 103). “Here With Me” is Sheila Walsh’s solo debut – a track lifted from her upcoming full-length debut album Future Eyes, released on Chapel Lane the following year, produced and recorded by Paul Cobbold at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford, England. The single actually sold 1000 copies in the UK the first day it appeared.

The title track “Here With Me” was also featured on the multi-artist double album compilation Another Earfull, released in the UK by Buzz the same year as the single.

The B-side, “Burn On”, was as well featured as the B-side on Sheila Walsh’s Star Song single, released on DJM Records in 1981. (“Star Song” was as well released as a single in the US in 1982 by Sparrow Records, as a promo for the double album 25 Songs of Christmas from Sparrow.) “Burn On” was also included on the US version of Future Eyes released on Sparrow Records in 1982, and as well on Word Records’ UK re-issue in 1984 (an extended version of the original UK album). It was also included on a multi-artist double disc compilation entitled Greenbelt 74-83, released on Myrrh Records in 1983. “Burn On” was as well re-recorded in Sweden for Sheila Walsh’s ballade/soft-pop oriented album No One Loves Me Like You, released in 1982.

Sheila Walsh’s “Here With Me” on one side featuring the same catalogue number as her 1980 single, WS 103, with Barratt Band‘s “A Voice in the Night” on the flip side featuring a different catalogue number; CS 101.)
