Description
Rescued is the fourth album by the American singer and songwriter Bob Ayala, independently released on Pretty Good Records in 1985, the record division of Last Days Ministries. Re-issued by Pretty Good Records the following year featuring new cover artwork, distributed by Sparrow Distribution. The album was recorded by Christopher Banninger, Win Kutz, and Hal Sacks at Monterey Sound Studios in Glendale, Paramount Recording Studios in Hollywood, and Peace in the Valley Recording in Arleta, California; with Bill Maxwell of Koinonia fame producing. Mixed Christopher Banninger and Bill Maxwell at Mama Jo’s Recording Studio in North Hollywood, California. Rhythm arrangements by Scott Smith except track A4 arranged by Bob Ayala, Hadley Hockensmith, Michael Ruff, and Bill Maxwell. All songs written by Bob Ayala except track B4 co-written with Melody Green.
Featuring Bob Ayala on lead vocals backed by a session band consisting of Russell Ferrante and Michael Ruff on keyboards and synthesizer, Rhett Lawrence on synthesizer (as well providing Fairlight and synthesizer programming), Justo Almario on saxophone, Hadley Hockensmith on guitars and bass, Jimmy Johnson on bass, Bill Maxwell on drums, and Alex Acuna on percussion. Background vocals provided by Howard Smith, Michael Ruff, BeBe Winans, and Bob Ayala, as well as Phyllis St. James and Shirley Ayala Gerber on track B6.
