Description
Country Gospel is a gospel album by the American singer and songwriter Wanda Jackson (nicknamed “The Queen of Rockabilly”), released on Word Records in 1973. The album was recorded and mixed by Charlie Tallent at Jack Clement Recording Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; with Billy Ray Hearn producing.
Wanda Jackson is backed by a session band featuring Jerry Smith on piano, Billy Sanford, Jerry Shook, and Ray Edenton on guitars, Weldon Myrick on steel guitar, Jack Williams on bass, Jerry Carrigan and Kenny Buttrey on drums, and Farrell Morris on percussion. Background vocals provided by Dolores Edgin, Hurshel Wiginton, Joseph Babcock, and June Page.
