Cheapskates: Softer Side, sub-titled A Compilation of New Pop, Rock & Hip Hop Music from Tooth & Nail, BEC Recordings and Plastiq Musiq, is a multi-artist compilation album released on BEC Recordings in November 1999, a division of Tooth & Nail Records. All bands that appear on this compilation are on Tooth & Nail Records, BEC Recordings or Plastiq Musiq. Compiled by Brandon Ebel, Jim Worthen, and Jason Bickling.

A follow-up compilation entitled Cheapskates: Harder Side was released by Tooth & Nail Records ‎the following year. The Cheapskates series was continued with a compilation simply entitled Cheapskates Volume 2, released on BEC Recordings ‎in 2000.
