Thinking with the Gamble Folk

Description

Thinking with the Gamble Folk is an album album by the American folk trio The Gamble Folk (Renee, Steve, and Gary Gamble), released on Creative Sound Recordings in 1971. The album was recorded at Sound 80 Studios in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Featuring covers of “Man of Galilee” and “Walking With Jesus”, two songs written by Linda Rich and originally recorded on her 1969-album, There’s More to Living Than I Know So Far, as well as “Hymn”, a song written by Noel Paul Stookey (with Jim Mason [James Mason] and Karen Gold) and originally recorded on Peter, Paul and Mary’s 1968-album, Late Again.

Two of the album tracks, “Man of Galilee” and “Dear Jesus”, were included on Creative Sound’s 1973 multi-artist sampler albums Jesus Festival of Music and Jesus Power, respectively.
