Tha History of a Hoodlum is a compilation album by the American hip-hop artist T-Bone, released on Metro One Recordings ‎in 1998.

This is a ‘Best Of’ CD from arguably the best rapper in Christendom. This CD contains well known T Bone classics such as «Lyrical Assassin» and «Saved To Da Bone» as well as new tracks such as «Little Jackie», a duet with CCM star Crystal Lewis. As I thoroughly enjoyed this CD, I’ll just highlight my faves. «Demon Killa» is a beautiful, smooth-vocalled track with rapid rapping that beats secular artists like Busta Rhymes with ease. «Keep On Praising» is a moving story of T Bone’s everyday struggles against religious back stabbers and his determination to follow the Lord. «Throwin’ Out The Wicked» is a graphic burst of righteous rage against sin, occultism and demons with the lyrics “If I see a ouija board, ya know I’m gonna kick it/ Coz I don’t play with sin,yo, I’m throwin’ out tha wicked,” while «Lyrical Assassin» has that massive beat, clever rhymes and a “throw ya hands up” feel that hip hop fans will love.
