Description
Isn’t it Strange is the sophomore album by the Irish folk-pop duo Stewart & Kyle (Alistair Stewart and Chris Kyle), released on Grapevine Records in 1978. The album was recorded by Colin Owen and Brad Davis at The Old Smithy Recording Studio in Worcestershire and by Andy Kidd, Dave Ashton, and Helmut Kaufmann at ICC Studios in Eastbourne, England; with John Pac of Parchment fame producing. Strings arranged and conducted by Dave Anfield. All songs written by Stewart & Kyle.
Featuring Alistair Stewart on vocals, acoustic and electric piano, guitars, and percussion, with Chris Kyle on vocals, guitar, and percussion, backed by a session band consisting of Mo Witham on lead guitar; Gerry Page and Keith Shilcock on bass; and Pete Thompson on drums; with Hugh Thomas providing saxophone. Strings provided by Midland Light Orchestra.
