Description
Almost Live in the Bat Shed is the sophomore album by the Australian alternative rock band Noisy Little Sunbeams, independently released by the band on Batshed Productions in 1989.
Featuring Tim “Timmy Twosweet” Halse and Clive “Rockabilly” Smith on electric guitars, as well as Owen “The Sugarman” Beck on bass and Roscoe White “Captain Goodvibes” on drums. Background vocals provided by “The Rockin’ Rabbetts” – Cathy Eastman and Janelle McEwen.
So one year after releasing Noisy Little Sunbeams, the Rockin’s Rabbis are back with this non-live album. After starting off with a… country song?… the band jumps back into their off-kilter brand of Aussie Alt Rock. Lots of humor, cheese, and experimentation. Some songs like «Be Alert» flirt with metal and punk. They experiment with many sounds, but always come back to some kind of cowpunk metal sound. This tape used to be on Google Play, but it seems that it sadly has been removed. [Christian Tape Underground, January 5, 2020]
