The Contemporary Christian Hits ’80 & ’81 is a multi-artist compilation released on Benson Music Group in 1993. This album is part of a 9 CD retro series released by Benson; also featuring ’76 & ’77, ’78 & ’79, ’82 & ’83, ’84 & ’85, ’86 & ’87, ’88 & ’89, ’90 & ’91, and ’92 & ’93.

These songs sound great because digital remixing and mastering have revealed the fidelity present in the original 24 track analog studio masters. These versions are virtually noise-free and filled with the audio excitement made possible by current technology. (Note: For the few selections marked by an asterisk – tracks 7 and 10 – the 24 track masters were no longer available for remixing, so digital remastering was accomplished using the best available stereo mixes.)
