Description
Whisper on the Wind is the sole album by the British pop/rock band Press Any Key (featuring John Russell of After The Fire fame), released on Marshall Pickering Records in 1987. The album was recorded by Paul Millard at Channel 5 Studios in Bexley Heath, England; with the band producing for Tony Clay Productions. All songs written by the band.
Press Any Key features John Russell on guitar and vocals, ‘Neddy’ on vocals, Richard Taylor on keyboards, and Martin Neil on drums.
An early version of the title track was included on the British cassette-only sampler The Strait Tapes, Volume 1. (Straight was the Greenbelt Festival magazine.) “The Watcher”, another album track, was featured on the multi-artist double-album compilation Flevo Totaal Festival released on the Dutch gospel label GMI in 1987.
