Awakening

Description

Awakening is the debut album the by the Swedish progressive power metal band Narnia, originally released in Japan on Canyon International in 1997, and the following year in Europe on Nuclear Blast. The album was recorded and mixed during various sessions between September 1996 and January 1997 by Jörgen Bolmstad and Mattias Rydell at Topz Recording Studio in Jönköping, Sweden; with the band producing. (Mixed by Bolmstad, Rydell, and the band.)

Narnia is Christian Liljegren on lead and backing vocals and Carl Johan Grimmark on acoustic and electric guitars, bass, keyboards, lead and backing vocals, as well as drums (drum programming). (Trivia: Carl Johan Grimmark would later join Jerusalem for their 2023-album Stygn.)
