Cash in Chaos: World Tour

Description

Cash in Chaos: World Tour is an album by the American alternative rock band Lifesavers Underground (a.k.a. L.S.U.), independently released on Siren Music in 1993. The album was recorded and mixed by Gene Eugene of Adam Again fame at his studio The Green Room in Huntington Beach, California; with band member Michael Knott producing. All songs written or co-written by Michael Knott.

Michael Knott, one of Christian alternative music’s best-known iconoclasts, brings back L.S.U. for the first release on his new label. This is probably the band’s furthest musical stretch to date, featuring lots of Brian Doidge’s clangorous, distorted guitars hot in the mix ala Jane’s Addiction or Smashing Pumpkins. Knott’s lyrics are equally potent, displaying his usual blend of the cryptic, caustic and compassionate. Throughout his career, Knott has remained in touch with that portion of himself that houses the doubts and fears many believers try to ignore or deny; «There’s a Time» perhaps best exemplifies that turmoil – “I get lost in the confusion/ Of what I really want and know/ The final confrontation/ Is with the owner of your will.” If you’re up for 45 minutes of fierce self-analysis, check out ‘Cash in Chaos’.
