Description
I Can’t Let Go is an album by the American contemporary gospel singer and songwriter Kristle Murden (a.k.a. Kristle Murden Edwards), released on Light Records in 1980. The album was recorded by Gordon Shryock and Bob Cotton at various studios in Los Angeles, California – Hollywood Sound Records; Sound Labs; United Western; Capitol; and Gold Mine Recording Studios – with Bill Maxwell and Andraé Crouch producing. Strings arranged by Lennart Sjöholm. Featuring the members of Koinonia. All songs written by Kristle Murden except “I’ll Go” written by Johnson and McCrary, “Because He Love Us” written by Maxwell and McCrary, and “Don’t Let This Moment Pass You By” written by Andraé Crouch (the latter track a duet featuring vocals by Crouch and Murden).
The title cut was later included on a multi-artist sampler entitled Overdose of The Holy Ghost: The sound of Gospel through the Disco and Boogie eras released on Z Records in 2013, and as well included on the sampler album The Ladies of Too Slow to Disco 2 released in 2017, a mainstream compilation series of late ’70s Westcoast Yachtpop.

Note: “I’ll Go” was released as a 7-inch vinyl single by Light Records in 1980 (b/w “Because He Loves Us”, both were album tracks). Released on CD in Japan by Cool Sound in 2009.
A double-page advertisement for various new albums released by Light Records, including Kristle Murden’s I Can’t Let Go, was featured in the April 18, 1981 issue of Record World.
