Description

Inside is the sixth album by the American singer and songwriter John Fischer, released on Light Records in 1978. The album was recorded by Dennis Drake, Jack Joseph Puig, and Wally Duguid at United Western Studios in Hollywood and Martinsound in Alhambra, California; with Dan Collins producing. Mixed by Drake. Strings arranged by Jim Stipech. All songs written by John Fischer.

Those warm soft sounds just keep on a-comin’. Inside gives us a number of ballads, carried along by either piano or acoustic guitar, some of them with string orchestration. Also gentle acoustic MOR («A New Day»), light rock («The Sanctuary»), smooth-and-easy jazz («Two Years») and a touch of gospel («With Him»). Been awhile since we’d heard a rocker from John, but Inside brews up a solid one in «I’ve Been Hiding», featuring none other than Phil Keaggy on lead guitar.
