Show Me!

Description

Show Me! is one of the earliest Christian Rock Musicals and the first one written by the American husband and wife songwriting team Jimmy & Carol Owens, released on Impact Records in 1971. The album was recorded by Frank Kejmar at Whitney Recording Studios in Glendale, California; with Jesse Peterson producing. Composed, arranged and conducted by Jimmy Owens.

Show Me! is the story of Joey and his friends who are are willing to try anything in their search for peace. This was Jimmy and Carol Owens’ first ever musical. Featuring Randy Stonehill as Art, Michael Omartian as Chris, Jamie Owens (daughter of Jimmy & Carol Owens) as Julie, Terry Stillwell as Patty, as well as Sherman Andrus (of Andraé Crouch & The Disciples, The Imperials and Andrus, Blackwood and Company fame) as Joey. (Trivia: Michael and Stormie Omartian actually met for the first time in the studio during the recording of Show Me!. Later, they did marry.
