Voice to the Nation

Description

Voice to the Nation is the third album by the British contemporary praise and worship group Heartbeat, released on Songs of Fellowship in 1986, a part of Kingsway Music. (“…and God is sending a new wave of His Spirit to sweep across our land… Now is the time to be a VOICE TO THE NATION.”) The album was recorded and mixed by Mike Newbon at ICC Studios in Eastbourne, England; with J.B. Arthur producing and arranging.

Heartbeat is Trish Morgan, Nancy Goudie, Dorry Townend, and Sue Rinaldi on vocals, with Dave Bankhead on keyboards and vocals, Ian Townend on guitar and vocals, Jeremy Jobson on bass and vocals, and Clive Urquhart on drums. Additional vocals by Bernie Armstrong, Sharon Armstrong, Steve Bassett, and Sue Reeves-Bassett (all four of New Beginnings fame), as well as J.B. Arthur. Saxophone and cello provided by Rob McKay and Rob Clarke, respectively. Programming of Fairlight, drums, percussion, and synthesizers by producer J.B. Arthur.
