Description

Time is All We Need is the sole album by the Swedish west coast pop band Fingerprints, released on Sonet in 1989. The album was recorded by Janis Laganovskis and Bo Reimer at various studios in Stockholm, Sweden – Sonet Studios, Soundtrade Studios, KMH Studios, and BJB Studios – as well as at Scanax Studio in Oslo, Norway. Mixed by Alar Suurna, Pontus Olsson, and Laganovskis at Sonet Studios.

Fingerprints is Björn Ström (vocals), Jörgen Ingeström (keyboards) and Thomas Axelsson (bass). (Trivia: Both Ingeström and Axelsson did play on the sophomore and final album by Sidewalk, Tiden är här. When Sidewalk disbanded vocalist Björn Ström of Licence fame joined forces with Ingeström and Axelsson and formed the pop outfit Fingerprints. Axelsson actually was the original bass player of Licence, and Ingeström did as well play on the final single by Licence, “Ge mej dina tankar”, released in 1984. And when Fingerprints later disbanded, Ström and Axelsson continued as West Of Sunset.)

Note: Simultaneously released on cassette, 12-inch vinyl LP, and CD by Sonet, with the CD-version featuring three bonus tracks: “Mitt Ibland Änglar” (2:58), “Nu Stär Jag Här” (4:23), and “Stjärnfall – Time Is All We Need” (4:24). The title track “Time Is All We Need” was released as a 7-inch vinyl single by Sonet in 1989, featuring “Stjärnfall” as the B-side of the single (which actually is “Time Is All We Need” featuring lyrics in Swedish). “Mitt Ibland Änglar” originally was released as a 7-inch vinyl single by Sonet in 1989, b/w “Looking For Angels” (participated in the Swedish pre-selection for the Eurovision song contest 1989).
