Description
Back to the Rock: Live is a live album by Classic Petra, independently released on CD by Classic Petra in February 2012 (though originally digitally released in April 2011). The album was produced by Petra’s keyboard player John Lawry.
Recorded live on November 20th, 2010, before a capacity crowd at TBN Studios in Nashville, Tennessee; four-time Grammy-winning and Gospel Music Hall Of Fame inductees, Petra, rocked the audience with their legendary sound. Greg X. Volz (lead vocals), Bob Hartman (guitar), John Lawry (keyboards), Mark Kelly (bass), and Louie Weaver (drums) found themselves on stage together for the first time in 25 years, but that was hard to tell as the songs from their ‘classic’ era were as powerful as they’ve ever been.

Note: A 19-track CDr entitled Back To The Rock “Live” Expanded was officially release on April 3rd, 2012, featuring different cover artwork than the original 11-track Back To The Rock “Live” CDr released in April 2011. (Digital downloads for preorders were available on March 29th, 2012.) The expanded version includes extra tracks with some of the stage chatting from the live recording and the tracks that were already present on Back To The Rock “Live” are remastered. This CDr was sold exclusively online through classicpetra.com.
