Description
Pass It On is the sixth studio album by the British singer, songwriter, and blues guitarist Bryn Haworth, released in the UK on Chapel Lane in 1983. Also released on Refuge Records in the US the same year, distributed by The Benson Company. The album was recorded January 1983 by Dave Charles at Chapel Lane Studios in Hereford, England; with Bryn Haworth producing. (Most of the tracks were recorded live in studio with three or four musicians playing until they got a good take.) Brass arrangements by Steve Gregory. All songs written by Bryn Haworth.
Originally put out in 1983 by Chapel Lane Records, this brings in another element, a sassy horn section into the turbulent musical brew of searing blues guitar and socking backbeat. Again, there are songs here that Bryn still gigs and the album rocks like an R&B houseparty. Down the years many artists have tried to integrate a blues feel into contemporary CCM but none has done it more deftly than the British veteran. [Tony Cummings, Cross Rhythms, June 2005]
