Description
Hide Away is a studio album by the American country/soft-rock band Brush Arbor, released on Myrrh Records in 1979, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Bino Espinoza, Richard Donaldson, and Buddy King at the Soundcastle in Hollywood, California; with King producing for Pure Joy Productions. Mixed by King and Bill Bottrell at the Soundcastle. Arranged by Tom Keene (basic tracks), Jules Alexander (vocals), and David Diggs (strings). Most tracks written by band member Jim Rice. As well featuring “Hide Away” by Fred Field and “My Lord” by David Edwards (later recorded by Edwards as well on his self-titled 1981-album, re-titled “Not Going To Fall Away”).
Brush Arbor is brothers Jim and Joe Rice as well as Dave Rose, with back-up pickers Tim Fuller, Kevin Watkins, and Yabo Obien. Among the backing musicians on the album are Tom Keene on keyboards and acoustic guitar, Al Perkins on steel guitar and electric guitar, Fred Field on violin, Ernie Watts on saxophone, as well as a rhythm section consisting of Dave Coy on bass and tuba and Fred Petry on drums and percussion.
