Description
Through the Window is the sixth album by the American singer and songwriter Benny Hester, released on Myrrh Records in 1987, a division of Word. The album was recorded by Csaba Petocz at Pakaderm Studios in Los Alamitos and Music Grinder Studios in Hollywood, California; with Dan Posthuma producing. Mixed by Petocz at Conway Studios in Hollywood, California. Arranged by Dann Huff, Randy Kerber, and Jeff Lams. All songs written or co-written by Benny Hester (like “Cat” co-written with Rick Thomson of Sweet Comfort Band fame), except “Wonderful Invention of Love” written by Steven Curtis Chapman and “It’s Over Love” written by Tonio K.
Featuring a session band consisting of Randy Kerber, Alan Pasqua, James Raymond and Tim Heinz on keyboards, Dann Huff on guitars, Dennis Belfield on bass, Carlos Vega on drums, and Michael Fisher on percussion, with David Hlebo sitting in on saxophone on track B2. Background vocals provided by Bill Batstone, John Elefante, Kurt Howell, and Dan Posthuma. Julie Miller is as well featured on the duet “Remember Me”.
