Nkiru

Description

Nkiru is an album by the Nigerian-born, British based singer and songwriter Ben Okafor, released in the UK on Edge Records in November 1989, licensed and distributed by Kingsway Publications. Released in the US by Refuge Records in 1991, distributed by Spectra (featuring a slightly different tracklist). The album was produced, recorded, and mixed by Bob Lamb at 122a Highbury Road Studios (a.k.a. Bob Lamb Studios) in Birmingham, England. All songs written by Ben Okafor except “Downpressor Man” credited Peter Tosh (which actually is a cover of “Sinner Man”, an African American traditional spiritual song).
