Description
Never Fades Away is the third studio album by the American singer and songwriter Pam Mark Hall, released on StarSong Records in 1980. The album was produced and arranged by Fletch Wiley of Sonlight fame. (“Star Song Records has announced the signing of exclusive recording agreement with Pam Mark Hall,” according to a note in the February 3, 1979 issue of Record World.)
Never Fades Away has a bigger more polished sound than Pam’s previous LPs, drifting at times into the Amy Grant CCM zone. On the other hand there are also a couple of surprisingly good edgier rock tracks in «Who Taught You The Game» and the title tune, with the sax-backed «Your Book» not too far behind. Mostly Pam-written originals, plus Salmond & Mulder’s «Strength To Be Weak» and a great dreamy jazz-laced cover of Bruce Cockburn’s «Lord Of The Starfields». Marty McCall of Fireworks shares lead vocals on «Little Miss Much Afraid». Produced and arranged by Fletch Wiley. [Ken Scott, The Archivist, 4th Edition]
