Maranatha Country Roundup is a multi-artist double disc compilation released on Maranatha! Music in 1982, distributed by Word.

It’s roundup time in Maranatha country. Yep. Maranatha! Music has corralled all their country-flavored tunes into a double-disc package. Maranatha Country Roundup (Maranatha! MM 0088) contains 20 songs from previously recorded and released Maranatha! material dating as far back as 1974.

…Correction: One of the tunes has never before been cut in vinyl. «Happily Married Man», recorded by a previously “unknown” group of cowpoke musicians named Cowboy Billy McBride and the Ghost Writers. It is easily one of the top tunes on the LP, perhaps that has something to do with the fact it was written by one Terry Taylor of Daniel Amos fame. The song credits mysteriously don’t mention any musicians involved except Al Perkins on steel guitar, and believe me, there’s more on that cut than just steel guitar.

Included on the LP are performances by Steve Baxter, Crystal River, Richie Furay, Bruce Herring, Karen Lafferty, Von Rogers, Steven Soles, The Road Home, two by Fred Field and George Highfill, three by Bethlehem, and four by Daniel Amos (five if you count you know which one).
